Created and publish this Internet Webzine on marketing in my spare time (currently as a hobby). Originally intended to serve as PR for my consulting business, MarketingToday has gained the attention and praise of marketing leaders such as Seth Godin (author of "Permission Marketing" and Yahoo! VP, Direct Marketing) as well as prominent Universities and business publications. The site's e-mail newsletter is subscribed to by more than 1,500 marketing professionals, including a large number of Fortune 1000 marketing professionals. Reviewed and recommended by Harvard Business School's Working Knowledge in April 2001.

Owner, Publisher, Marketer. 1998 - 1999
Responsible for ownership, developing the plan, development and design, launch and promotion of this online wedding planning Website featuring wedding planning related articles, online stores (books, flowers and music), email, information and bridal show listings. Partnered with a midwest area bridal exposition management firm. Advertised on radio, in local media, bridal publications, direct-mail and at bridal shows. Received coverage in local newspapers, such as the Chicago Sun-Times, Daily Southtown, on Wedding Radio (a syndicated radio show) and in bridal publications. Received tens of thousands of unique visitors each week and registrations for bridal shows. Site was closed in 2000 due to lack of funding and partnership issues.

Handled numerous Internet consulting projects. Reported to VP of Marketing. Worked with VP Marketing, brand and IS managers of this automotive chemical manufacturer whose brands include Heet, Sta-bil, 104+ Octane Boost, Leak Stoppers and Gold Eagle brand. Handled the company's first Internet efforts, the integration of the Internet with existing marketing communications and in promotions, as well as the development of numerous brand-related sites.

Advised the company President on business and marketing strategy for this Internet customer service rating system. Made several recommendations for the revising the business plan and revenue model. The business ceased operations as the dot com economy imploded.

Volunteer Experience

- Served as a judge for the Web Marketing Association's "Web Awards 2000" and "Web Awards 2001."

- Served as a volunteer at the Aon Hotline for Aon employees and families affected by the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center tragedy. Wrote a letter sent out by Aon on how people can assist survivors and their families in the aftermath of the tragedy that was widely published (a version of which was published through MarketingToday and posted at various marketing, ad and PR agency Websites). Contacted the Red Cross for needs and coordination of efforts on behalf on Aon. Served as a greeter at memorial services in Chicago for Aon employees who died in the WTC.   

- Served as Promotions Director for one of Chicago's largest churches, 1996.

- Writer and photographer for the Alsip Chamber of Commerce, 1988-1989.
